Celebrity Apprentice Blog : "Harry Potter and Mr. Trump’s Apprentices"
In this episode I was feeling detached from the group and for some reason that was okay with me. I did what I do when I feel alone. I rolled up my sleeves, took off the stilettos, put on the work shoes, ruined my manicure, got paint in my hair and just plain got ugly.
I love how I feel while doing construction. Building is such a wonderful experience.

When we got this task I wanted it. I was going to ask to be project manager again. But as they say, “first come first serve” and I just couldn’t keep up with the Angel and her magic wings…. oh Selita what great skin you have. I always wanted to be an Angel. I watched the runway shows and loved the catalog. It’s so cool to know an Angel. Although, I want to rip Selita’s wings off, strap them to my back and go running down the streets of NY, today I will have to keep those thoughts to myself. That being said, Selita, you are going down if we lose. Then let the ripping and running with the wings on my back ensue. I think that it is crazy that our project manager doesn’t know where she is going and the rest of us have to sit back and wait. I hope that this is a fun task. After the last one I feel like the group is dividing. Holly, Selita and Summer are on one side, and Sharon and Cyndi are on the other. I don’t pick sides, winning is more important. We do have one great thing on our side and that is that the boys are running out of team members. The guys are down 2 members and the girls are only down 1.

The next day comes and look how great my hair and makeup is! At least I look good while being completely confused about Selita’s whereabouts and what our task is going to be. Thank you Ruth, Chris and Ashley for taking care of me everyday with great hair and makeup, without you, I would not be able to watch myself on this show. Ha, ha. Here we go. Sharon and Holly get into it. Ooooo this is uncomfortable. This dispute was much longer in person than it was on TV. Holly was saying that Cyndi is hard to work with. Sharon was saying that there is a way to talk to people without being insulting. I don’t think anyone was trying to insult Cyndi but she is difficult to work with. Cyndi is a creative person and creative people need someone to keep them on task. Just look at Bret. Someone had to call Bret everyday to make sure he was awake. He would have been even later than he already was if it weren’t for someone keeping him on track. Here, we are all trying to work together on one schedule and it is starting to take its toll. I think we all have different ways of working; some people use humor and some use pure labor, but in the end this is a competition and everyone is fighting to win. The claws are coming out. Try not to get scratched.

Selita calls and tries to explain what we are supposed to do. It doesn’t really make sense to anyone so we try to go through the paperwork and videos to get a better understanding of the task at hand. One good thing is that Selita can actually use a phone, computer and a camera. Watching Rod trying to use any of the electronic devices is painful. Rod is showing us more and more that he is just a figure head and doesn’t really know how to do anything on his own. I can’t imagine what was going through the heads of the guys on RockSolid. It must have been so frustrating to be on the guys’ team with no direction, no project manager and no hope. I can’t believe that Goldberg has not blown up on anyone yet. When Rod talks he reminds me of Papa Smurf, saying things like, “Everyone, what are the first two rules of Smurfdom? 1. Don’t make me email. 2. Don’t talk about things that can incriminate you over the phone.” I actually feel bad for the guys ’cause they are at such a disadvantage. Selita does such a great a job of texting, (talking smack about Cyndi). Oh, did I say that? Listen back when Holly says, “I like your text.” Yeah, we all know what was going on. Secrets, secrets are no fun.

We headed over to the workshop and the construction guys were great. They worked so hard and were so helpful. They were able to make every crazy idea Team Tenacity came up with come to fruition. What you didn’t see in the episode was that the guys that worked on our project were up all night getting our castle done! Thanks guys! Also what you didn’t see was Cyndi and I going to the prop house again. That woman had so much energy and was so funny. Cyndi loved talking to the props.

The guys’ castle looked like a bachelor pad to me: something thrown here and something thrown there. All they needed was the ugly black leather couch in the corner. Nothing matched and nothing made any sense and the entire experience just seemed boring. Also, what was with the creepy Bill Goldberg wrestling, talking and moving tree? Selita told us later that the tree had nothing to do with the park. So maybe Goldberg just always wanted to dress up as a tree. I mean, I like to play dress up but that usually is reserved for another time and place (if you know what I mean). I am sure many males and females appreciated Goldberg all dressed up. The men during their presentation seemed to be confused and like they didn’t really have a plan. Bret, of course, just had fun with it and I think that is why the kids liked it.

Our presentation, Team Tenacity’s, was much more thought-out and had a finished looking product. Everyone had a job and it was definitely something that with more time Universal could use to explain the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” across America. I was excited to see a lot of my ideas used in this task as well. Falling wand boxes and the letters hanging from the ceiling were my ideas. I used the drill to make the holes to punch out the boxes. Yeah, I know how to use power tools. Daddy taught me right. I love playing characters and I love to entertain so this was so much fun for me. Seeing the smiles on the Harry Potter fan’s faces is inspiring. I knew our team was doing a great job. Selita was great at greeting the people and explaining the product we were providing. Of course, Sharon, with her English accent was amazing. For a moment I believed I was in England. How cute was Summer with poking the wand boxes down? Love her. Then, Holly ha, ha… handing out the candy. Oh yeah, Cyndi, Cyndi, Cyndi; I couldn’t stop laughing! Where did that character come from? In this episode you saw the entertainer in everyone. This was a great task. It was fun. I am so glad we won. I wasn’t surprised though because we did a much better job than the guys did. Our team was managed better.

As for Rod, he was disappointing to me. I think that our government officials should have some knowledge of the technology that is out there. You can’t represent something that you don’t understand and if you don’t understand where society is heading how can you ever plan for it? I hope Rod takes some time to learn about the different technologies and learns from the mistakes he has made in his past. Good luck, Rod.
